CPS Software

Use Baofeng’s Customer Programming Software (CPS) for the DM-32UV, not CHIRP. Download it from Baofeng’s site. Note: It may default to Chinese; adjust settings as needed.

Saving Default Config

Backup the DM-32UV’s default configuration in CPS before editing to avoid losing factory settings.

Key Concepts

• Codeplug: A file storing all DM-32UV settings.
• Channels: Set frequencies, CTCSS/DCS, and DMR time slots for the DM-32UV.
• DMR ID: Register at RadioID.net and input it via CPS for the DM-32UV.
• Talk Groups: Groups for DMR communication on the DM-32UV; configure in CPS.

Use a local DMR community codeplug for easier DM-32UV setup and a quality programming cable (e.g., FTDI chip).
